Community impact is a cornerstone of 1847Financial’s culture, and each quarter our firm rallies together to support a local nonprofit making a meaningful difference. For our most recent initiative, we were proud to partner with Women Rising, a Jersey City–based organization that has been empowering women and their families for more than a century.

Women Rising provides life-changing support and resources to help women achieve self-sufficiency, safety, and stability. From job training and housing assistance to counseling and advocacy, their mission aligns with our shared belief in helping others build a stronger, more secure future.

Through generous employee donations and a firm match, 1847Financial raised a total of $5,630 to support Women Rising’s ongoing programs and services. We selected this nonprofit not only for their incredible work, but also because one of our Financial Professionals, Christian Becerra of Ark Wealth Solutions, serves on their Board of Directors.

Christian’s connection to Women Rising is deeply personal.

“I joined the organization because I was a victim of domestic violence growing up and have always wanted to help those facing similar challenges,” shared Becerra. “When I attended my first Women Rising Gala, their mission immediately spoke to me. I often wonder how different our lives might have been if my mother had found an organization like theirs to support her when she was looking for help. Spreading awareness and supporting Women Rising is very important to me so they can continue helping others navigate difficult times.”

The 1847Financial team had the privilege of presenting our donation check to Women Rising during one of our firm events, celebrating our shared commitment to community service. A photo from that presentation was later featured on ONNJ Morning News during their segment covering Women Rising’s 120th Anniversary Celebration of Service Gala, a milestone recognizing more than a century of empowering women and families across New Jersey.

At 1847Financial, we believe that success is best measured by the positive impact we have on others. Supporting organizations like Women Rising allows us to make a lasting difference in the communities where we live and work.
