The Most Valuable Part of a Conference Is Not the Agenda

By: Tracy Chipman, Director, Field Development

The Best Lessons Are Not Always Planned
After more than two decades of working with financial professionals, one lesson has remained remarkably consistent: people grow faster when they learn from one another.

I have seen exceptional keynote speakers, outstanding educational sessions, and innovative ideas presented from the stage. Those experiences matter.

But when I ask financial professionals what made the biggest impact, the answer is often much simpler.

It is the conversation over coffee. The discussion between sessions. The connection with another financial professional who shares a challenge, offers a fresh perspective, or sparks a new idea.

Those conversations are where knowledge becomes practical, relationships become invaluable, and lasting growth often begins.

Independence Does Not Mean Going Alone
Many financial professionals choose independence because they want the freedom to build their businesses their way – in ways that support their own vision and values. But supported independence does not mean working in isolation. It means having access to the right people, resources, and perspectives that help you continue growing while maintaining the independence that is important to you.

That support matters. New ideas often come from staying connected, listening to different viewpoints, and learning from people who understand the realities of the business.

Creating Opportunities That Matter
At 1847Financial, that is exactly what we strive to create.

Our Field Development team is focused on designing experiences that help financial professionals learn from industry experts, build meaningful relationships with peers, and discover ideas they can put into practice.

That begins with Immersion for financial professionals who are new to 1847Financial. This initiative helps accelerate connections across the organization and introduces the people and key resources available to support their success from the beginning.

It continues through ongoing education, peer study groups, and collaborative learning opportunities where financial professionals openly share ideas, discuss common challenges, and learn from one another's experiences.

At our national conference, thoughtfully curated content is only part of the experience. Just as valuable are the conversations between sessions—the introductions, shared experiences, and new relationships that often become the catalyst for future growth. In my experience, some of the most valuable takeaways come from these conversations.

Better Together
The most successful financial professionals never stop learning.

They remain curious. They invest in relationships. They seek out new perspectives and understand that growth is accelerated when ideas are shared.

At 1847Financial, we believe our financial professionals are our clients. That is why we invest in experiences that foster learning, strengthen connections, and create opportunities for long-term business growth.

If you are an experienced financial professional looking for independence backed by integrated protection and wealth management capabilities, this may be a relationship worth exploring. Follow 1847Financial on LinkedIn to learn more.
