The Parks Firm hosted an unforgettable team event in late August that brought together financial professionals (FPs) from across the country to celebrate their achievements, share insights, and strengthen the bonds that make our firm so unique. Spearheaded by Tom Parks, Managing Principal of 1847Financial, the event was a testament to the firm’s unwavering commitment to its most important clients—our financial professionals.
With attendees traveling from more than eight states across the country, the energy at the venue was electric. Many of these teammates have grown very close to one another over years of attending events like these, and all the first timers were warmly welcomed by the entire team.
The event welcomed not only our own financial professionals but also guests who are considering joining our firm from other companies in the industry, creating a dynamic environment of collaboration and shared purpose.
One message echoed throughout every session: our financial professionals are our clients. Every speaker reinforced this core belief, reminding us that everything we do at 1847Financial is designed to help our FPs grow their practices and better serve their clients.
Tom Parks commented, “It is an honor to support our partners and facilitate their growth and development. Supported independence is about providing resources as needed for your success. If you want to build and own your practice and clients, we are here to serve. You don't have to be isolated on an island.”
We were honored to hear from Jordan Debettencourt, VP of Membership and Engagement at Finseca, who shared powerful updates on the organization’s work to protect the rights and opportunities of financial professionals—and, more importantly, their clients.
It was fitting to see Finseca represented on the agenda because The Parks Firm has always been a strong supporter of industry groups like Finseca, NAIFA, and others. In fact, many of our financial professionals are currently serving on committees or in leadership positions of these industry groups … believing it a responsibility to strongly support and contribute to these organizations.
1847Financial life and annuity wholesalers, Mike Siebecker and Jordon Scott, along with Advanced Sales Attorney Amy Bryant, delivered valuable planning tips and training on the tools 1847Financial provides to support our financial professionals. Their insights were practical, actionable, and deeply appreciated.
The marketing team energized the room with seven proven marketing campaigns, offering tips on how to roll them out effectively. The presentation showcased real ROI and practical strategies for growth that can be implemented efficiently.
The Practice Development team inspired attendees to think like business owners, sharing key growth strategies tailored to early, mid, and late-stage careers. This guidance helped many reframe their approach and plan for long-term success.
To close the event, Steve Grant moderated a peer panel featuring Brian Sommerfield, Robin Woodell, and Jon Christian Keever. Their stories of building successful practices were both motivating and insightful, offering real-world examples of perseverance, innovation, and client-first service.

None of this would have been possible without the efforts of Park’s Firm Leadership Team. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Thor Parks, Kevin Taylor, Bryan Woodell, Steve Grant, Gwenn Kessler, and Robin Slater for their dedication and hard work in making this event a resounding success!
At 1847Financial, we believe in celebrating our people, investing in their growth, and always putting our financial professionals first. This event was a powerful reminder of that mission—and a glimpse into the bright future we’re building together.
