A Go-To Resource for Financial Pros

We sat down with Jeana Kay Bryson, Field Operations Manager at 1847Financial, to learn more about her background, her path in financial services, and how she supports financial professionals across multiple markets. Here’s what she had to say:

Jeana Kay, can you tell us where you're based and the regions you support?
I'm based in Houston, but I also serve Dallas, Oklahoma City, Springfield, and Kansas City. I manage field operations for all these firms and take pride in the top-notch support we provide every financial professional.

How long have you been in the financial services industry?
I've been in the industry for 15 years. I started in 2010 and initially focused on marketing, but my role has evolved significantly over the years.

What initially drew you to the financial services industry?
Honestly, I didn’t intentionally choose financial services. I was looking for a marketing opportunity and landed at a group insurance underwriting company. I started as a marketing coordinator and eventually took on roles in compliance, contracting, and licensing. I fell in love with the work and kept expanding my skill set.

What are some of the roles you've held throughout your career?
I started in marketing, then moved into compliance as a specialist, then manager. After that, I joined Penn Mutual as an office manager. Now, I'm the Field Operations Manager at 1847Financial, where I oversee field service operations, manage compliance, and support financial professionals in multiple offices.

What do you like most about your role?
I love being the go-to person for so many things. Every day is different, and I get to take on a variety of responsibilities, from managing compliance and licensing to organizing impactful events. Recently, I helped market a Barbie-themed event for Latinas in STEM, where we gave away a Barbie car filled with 1847Financial swag. It was a fun and memorable way to connect with financial professionals and prospective clients while elevating our brand. I thrive on finding creative ways to support our team and build those connections.

What do your firms look for in financial professionals?
We’re looking for holistic financial professionals who put protection at the core of their practice. It’s all about helping clients build a strong financial foundation while also planning for growth and the future.

What makes your firm stand out to prospective financial professionals?
We’re unique because we’re a little bit in their world as well – the majority of our staff holds active insurance and/or securities licenses. We’re not just providing resources; we’re actively involved in their success, helping them navigate challenges and find solutions. That’s something that really sets us apart.

What do you like to do for fun when you're not supporting financial professionals?
I enjoy crafting, puzzles, and going to concerts. I’m also a big rodeo fan, especially bull riding events. Baseball is my favorite sport. I’ve been an LSU fan for years and watched Alex Bregman play his first game at Alex Box Stadium. I was thrilled when the Astros signed him and even got to see him play in person after I moved from Baton Rouge to Houston. He signed with Boston after last season, so now I’m officially a Red Sox fan, but I still love my Astros and catch as many games as I can.
