Each year, 1847Financial-Barrett honors our top-performing Financial Professionals with an exclusive invitation to the Firm Leaders Retreat—a time to reflect, recharge, and refocus on growth and leadership. This year’s retreat took place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, offering the perfect blend of celebration and strategic insight.

We kicked off the retreat with a private dinner at the iconic Knife & Fork Inn, where attendees had the chance to reconnect, share stories, and celebrate the impact of their hard work. The evening continued with optional time to unwind—whether enjoying live music in the lobby or simply soaking in the energy of the venue.

The heart of the retreat came on Day 2—our Meeting Day, designed to challenge and inspire. We were honored to welcome a slate of expert guest speakers, each bringing timely and relevant insights to the table:

• Anthony Whitbeck, CEO of Advisor Legacy, explored "Doing Deals: M&A Essentials for Buyers & Sellers," helping attendees better navigate transitions and opportunities in practice ownership.
• Ron Beyer, Director of Investment Strategy at Mariner, discussed “Achieving Practice Growth through Client Segmentation & Fee Structure”.
• Jarad Stiles, Tax Partner at Cooper Levenson, gave a deep dive into Medicaid Planning and Long-Term Care cost protection strategies, offering essential planning tools for clients facing these critical concerns.
• Lauren Martinelli, Investment Advisory Research Strategist from Vanguard Financial Advisor Services, rounded out the session with a powerful presentation on Behavioral Coaching—reminding us of the important role advisors play in guiding clients during uncertain times.
